Stone Senate is a Southern Rock Band from Nashville Tennessee. They have been called “a heavier version of Lynyrd Skynyrd, crossed with The Allman Brothers Band.” While being mentioned in such heady company is flattering, one thing that they are most definitely not, is a “retro act.” They take what comes naturally from their collective influences, and then took it a step further. You better strap up your seat belts, because we’re going to hang out today with Stone Senate! Meet the members of the band! Fronted by lead vocalist/guitarist Clint Woolsey’s smoldering, soulful vocals and unmistakable stage presence, stage left and stage right are burning with the dual lead guitars of James Edwards and Ted Hennington. Add to these the blood bonded rhythm section of “The Mud Brothers”- Paul Zettler on bass/vocals and David Zettler on drums/vocals and you have just caught lightning in a bottle. This band has built their audience through relentless touring year round, along with radio tours inserted into the schedule. Having been together since 2012, the band is able to widen their collective setlist while throwing in band and audience favorites of Country and Rock legendary songs. With over 500 shows throughout the US in the last few years, Stone Senate is steadily adding more and more dates each year and looking forward to some great new music in 2022! Let’s get to know them more as we are joined by Clint Woolsey and talk about the band and how their success story started. It's time to give a warm dHarmic evolution welcome to Stone Senate!   More about Stone Senate Check out all the links below and follow Stone Senate on their social media pages, they also have a website where you can check out all the great things that they offer! Quotes: 22:16 “It took a few years, but it was kind of almost worth the wait, man. Because this to me – this lineup is just about perfect. Everybody's really, really close. We get along, and everybody's shooting for the same goal of being able to really make a living playing music. So everybody really goes the extra mile to make anything like this happen for us. So it's a great group of guys, man, that's for sure, I'm lucky to be with.”   26:07 “I tell you what, that was really the only option that we had starting out was just to play as many shows, as many places that we could. So we kind of took just about every show that was offered, if we could physically make it there in time. But we take it, no matter what the money was. A lot of times, there wasn't any money, it was just an opportunity for us. ”   38:25 “I think the biggest challenge is getting enough sleep. But we all love playing music and we really all love playing music with each other. So that's really what's driving us to get out on the road.”   41:55 “We're still still running hard, man, and loving just about every minute of it, even the break.”   52:39 “ I just say to any of the upcoming musicians just to get out there and play, play, play man.Play live and rehearse as much as humanly possible because that seemed to really help me in the band, as a whole lot.”   Timestamps: 01:06 Introducing Stone Senate 02:44 Catching up with Clint of Stone Senate 06:02 The places that Stone Senate goes for their tours. 07:13 Clint shares their experience in Sturgis. 12:40 Listen to “Down” by Stone Senate 16:42 Clint tells us about the band and the members 18:13 How long did it take them to find their sound and develop their personality as a band? 20:37 Where did they grow up, and how did the band first connect?  22:56 Clint talks about their style of music and the guitar solos in it. 25:24 Clint tells us how touring helped them build a really solid fanbase. 29:16 What does Stone Senate’s creative process look like? 31:47 Listen to “Whiskey Helps” by Stone Senate 35:52 Clint talks about their experience while recording “Whiskey Helps.” 37:54 What is the most appealing part of that whole experience when they're out on the road? 42:55 How do they get the chance and opportunity for new songs even when they are on the road? 44:32 How did Clint personally first get the idea that he will be a musician and that this will be his life? 51:45 Celebrating the newest release of Stone Senate: Dusk  52:10 Clints shares his last words for their collective audience, especially to the newer musicians 54:15 Listen to “Ride On” by James Kevin O’Connor   Spotify Playlist:   If you haven’t seen the dHarmic Rising Stars Spotify playlist, check it out on the links below.
