This is the edited and annotated version. ย Acelakassapa Suttaย SN 12.17 traced how ascetic Kassapa who was practising extreme mortification where nakedness was part of the practice, was awakened by the Buddha. Sis Sylvia Bay deciphered the cryptic nature of the conversation between Buddha and Kassapa, where Buddha replied, "It is not that I do not know and see suffering, Kassapa. I know suffering, I see suffering." where Buddha used conditionality to trigger Kassapa's awakening. In the same manner, Sis Sylvia highlighted why we are shackled by dukkha and yet, there is non-self. Between The Lines - An Analytical Appreciation of the Buddha's Life by Sylvia Bay (download link: http://u.pc.cd/vKiitalK) Rathavinฤซta Sutta MN 24 Dhanaรฑjฤni Sutta MN 97 ย  ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ผ (๐— ๐—ฃ๐Ÿฏ) ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐——๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐˜€ ๐—ข๐—ป๐—น๐˜† http://u.pc.cd/dML7 Profile of Speaker: Sis Sylvia Bay has dedicated herself to the study and practice of the Buddha's teachings since 1992.
