In the market report for the w/c Monday 5th June 2023, it is June but it is cold, dull & miserable with those nasty little northerly winds. The market is going to see a slightly later harvest, already a little later than last year. It’s not all that bad, Andrew enlightens us on a positive correlation to keep an eye out for, to give us hope for the coming wheat crops. Internationally, there are issues with China where they are experiencing some late rain causing floods, impacting quality & destroying crops. In other news, information came out this week that the EU’s import of wheat is up. Wheat is being exported from Poland to America resulting in incredibly cheap prices & Spain is looking to increase their barley imports.Andrew announces that Dewing Grain has space for any old crop wheat, if you are in need of somewhere to store yours, get in touch with our friendly team today. In the farmchat, this week we are in for a treat with an unusual kind of episode, a LIVE recording from Andrew with guests on the recent Bressingham Dewing Social Walk.Enlightened by more history of Andrew, guests are given a tour including the room where Andrew was born. Joined by a superstar guest who travelled over 450 miles just to attend our famous walk. Everyone is after Andrew’s knowledge about not only the industry but an explanation of the current state of wheat prices.Tune in to this episode where the next Dewing Social Walk is announced.
