3 Things COVID-19 taught me as a new CEO
Penny, On Your Thoughts - A podcast by Penny Chiasson
Today I want to talk about three lessons that COVID-19 has taught me as a new CEO. Investing in my personal transformation is the best thing I could’ve done for myself. In a time where the outcome we expected to happen, didn’t happen, I was able to step back, learn from it, adjust, and move forward because of my personal transformation work. It is also super important to have a network of people that gives you a safe place to express, feel, and witness others who are going through the same thing. We are going through a grieving process because we’ve lost our routines, predictability, business plans, and dreams for 2020. It doesn’t mean those dreams will never happen, they’re just not going to happen yet. It’s ok to grieve. When something like a pandemic strikes, learn to step back and evaluate. If you have to adjust and do something that you don’t like temporarily, then that’s what you have to do. It’s all about being adaptable and resilient. 2:11 - The first lesson this pandemic has taught me is to invest in myself 5:05 - How to learn to be unattached to outcomes 5:51 - The second thing COVID-19 has taught me the importance of having a network of people who understand what it is you do 9:32 - The third thing I learned: it’s ok to grieve Check out Jim Fortin’s Master Class about the Law of Attraction here Thanks for tuning in today!
