In this episode, on this important week in climbing, I talk to Vivian Rigney, a top executive coach here in New York that has climbed the seven summits of the world including Mount Everest. He has also released a new book called ‘Naked at the Knife Edge’ about his incredible Everest adventure. An amazing book, it brings us on the journey as Vivian shares some wonderful wisdom on leadership and high performance along the way. Vivian also happens to be a good friend of mine and, in this episode, we discuss the book, his work with executives and some great wisdom he has learned along the way. Here are some key takeaways from this interview: Vivian’s background and how he found himself doing what he’s doing today  Admitting that we need help and asking for help is another level of vulnerability that we all need in our business “Beliefs are often feelings rather than facts.” The motivation and drive that made him climb Mt. Everest What was the toughest part of the climb for him? What were the most important lessons in terms of great leadership that Vivian learned along the way? Managing your inner dialogue, thinking efficiently, understanding that vulnerability is a strength, and authenticity will lead to followership.    To find out more about Vivian check out Vivianjamesrigney.com TO GET HIS AMAZING BOOK: HARDBACK VERSION OF NAKED AT THE KNIFE-EDGEhttps://www.amazon.com/Naked-Knife-Edge-Everest-Leadership-Vulnerability/dp/1637630778/ref=sr_1_1?crid=16RXY6V036AQP&keywords=naked+at+the+knife+edge&qid=1649985725&sprefix=naked+at+the+knife+edg%2Caps%2C1136&sr=8-1 AUDIOBOOK VERSION OF NAKED AT THE KNIFE-EDGEhttps://www.amazon.com/Naked-Knife-Edge-Everest-Leadership-Vulnerability/dp/B09VCTGK11/ref=sr_1_2?crid=16RXY6V036AQP&keywords=naked+at+the+knife+edge&qid=1649985762&sprefix=naked+at+the+knife+edg%2Caps%2C1136&sr=8-2
