He would be credited with implementing the foundations of what would become democracy. The divide between nobles and non-nobles had seen political violence breakout. Solon would attempt to implement measures that would see birth not the only qualifying factor to have political say, while he would also reform Athens economically and morally. After making these changes Solon would leave Athens for 10 years, travelling the Mediterranean.
