On our latest show, there were two action packed bouts on different continents that both resulted in TKOs and the guys are back for the breakdown of Luis Nery and Mauricio Lara's victories on the "Fight Freaks Unite Reap" podcast. Host T.J. Rives returns with Dan Rafael, insider of BigFightWeekend.com to go over it all with also some news and nostalgia, as well. First, they discuss the Luis Nery TKO over Azat Hovhanissyan to cap the Golden Boy Boxing show in California Saturday night. Dan says this one has the makings of a fight of the year candidate. And, he has more on what's next for Nery in the near term off his grueling victory. Next up, was Lara's TKO in the 7th round of Britain's Leigh Wood to capture the WBA Featherweight world title in Nottingham, England. Lara used a booming left to earn the stoppage, but was it too soon for Wood's corner to call it off. The guys have good debate with examples pro and con for letting a fight go on. Dan has more fight news, including that we have an imminent official fight announcement for the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia bout for April 15 in Las Vegas. Also, Dan has a date before that in April for WBC top 154 lb. contender Sebastian Fundora and some other news involving upcoming fight cards too. Finally, there's some excellent nostalgia talk on the 30th anniversary of legendary Julio Cesar Chavez's win over Greg Haugen in front of a still record 132,000+ fans in Mexico City. Just ridiculous is that crowd number for the hall of famer Chavez?
