Candidate Statement  Affiliation: Team Dunedin   My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area. I am also standing for Councillor.   If you want a successful city with leadership that listens, I am here to serve you. I am a businessman with practical skills and an Otago science degree. My strategic overview produces pragmatic, cost- effective solutions using 40 years of experience in team- building, financial control and problem-solving.   A foundation member of the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, I have a deep love for our natural environment. As President of 3 local clubs, I focus on delivering value and influencing achievement in others.   Dunedin deserves practical plans for roads, transport and parking that cater for everyday needs while lowering emissions. Our 1-Way system must be retained. Infrastructure is essential and must receive greater priority while 3-Waters should remain in local control. South Dunedin must be protected not neglected. Landfill alternatives can save us millions. Debt must be controlled.   As your Mayor, I will develop a Dunedin that is welcoming, vibrant and sustainable.
