Candidate Statement    My principal place of residence is in the Dunedin City Council area. I am also standing for Mayor.    Sensible, Strategic, Smart. Integrity. Real-world Experience. Empathetic. Practical. Public-spirited. Analytical.    Dunedin needs strong sensible leadership, both inspiring and realistic. As a current Independent Councillor, I'm dedicated to ensuring that we're accountable, action orientated, listen to and advocate for our community. I want to create a more prosperous and liveable city for all of us.    My background in business, tourism, heritage, environmental and council enables me to continue to contribute strongly to wise decision making. Dunedin needs Councillors with real skills and insights evaluating options to make good, evidence-based decisions. My focus is on value-for-money rates, investment, and delivering goals, especially on waste, climate change, transport, as well as economic, social, environmental and cultural wellbeing.    Experience: Commerce Degree Economics , Management - Award winning family business Larnach Castle; Dunedin City Council Economic Development Unit, charitable conservation trust; voluntary governance roles. Three years DCC Councillor. RMA Commissioner.
