Dr Fairleigh Gilmour is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Gender Studies at The University of Otago. Fairleigh’s research interests include sex work governance; race, gender and class in media representations of crime; and prison education. Dr Gilmour joins us to talk about the state of crime in NZ, is it as we are being told in the media by the opposition and some in society or not?
