#BHN Removal of Corrections Treaty provisions | Sick leave change concerning | Misspelt suburb names

Treaty provisions were in the development of the draft treaty provisions and the legislation was introduced to Parliament by the former Labour Government last year. But last month, Corrections Minister Mark Mitchell sought Cabinet approval to "remove these provisions in their entirety". Māori names proposed for Auckland suburbs. Two new Māori place names have been proposed for Auckland suburbs. The first is to give the name Te Tōangaroa to an area on Auckland’s waterfront, while the second is to correct the spelling of the suburb Takanini to Takaanini. Changes are coming to New Zealand's sick leave laws. Part-time workers could get less than ten days if an update of the Holidays Act is adopted. That's despite the Prime Minister ruling out prior to the election last year, that people's sick leave entitlements would change.
