#BHN Master Plumbers: replace water pipes now | Prof Robert Patman on UK politics | Kiwi's don't want tax cuts

#BHN Big Hairy News - A podcast by Blindfish Media

Professor Robert Patman joins us tonight to talk about what is happening with Tory politics in the UK as the country has its third PM in two months. We wonder if the 'stink' of the conservative movement in the UK may rub off on the National Party in NZ...we also touch base on the mid-terms in the US and again wonder if the upheaval in the UK says anything when comparing to what's happening for the Republicans in the US   Master Plumbers are calling for councils to sort out residents drinking water pipes with concerns around the amount of lead still in the infrastructure. Of course, this leads to a conversation around Three Waters legislation, and we wonder if the lead in our pipes should be treated as a national emergency much like a natural disaster is.   Newshub ran an unscientific pole where over 50,000 people responded and of those responding, more than 80% of people did not want a tax cut. Does this tie into the UK conversation? What about what that means for the proposed National Party tax cuts...will they recant them if it's shown that NZ doesn't want tax cuts over money in the centralised pot?
