#BHN Luxon hypocrisy on paying himself rent | Entrenchment and 3Waters | COVID surging

#BHN Big Hairy News - A podcast by Blindfish Media

Christopher Luxon's petticoat is showing as it's revealed that we, the public, are paying for the rent of his electorate that Mr Luxon owns. This is all completely legal, but the hypocrisy comes in when it's Mr Luxon screaming about government spending, while clipping the ticket himself and benefitting from government spending but also because he has been critical of Labour MPs who also have played by the rules but benefitted from public money as well.   Labour has included in the 3Waters legislation the need for a super majority of 60% for any future governments to change the law they are going to vote in. This has drawn criticism from some as a slipperly slope to say if Labour does it that are they setting a precedent that future governments will use the same idea to make sure future governments can't change their laws.   COVID is surging with 6,000 cases today and, if we extrapolate what the Ministry said last week that maybe only 35% of cases are being recorded, it means that the real numbers could be closer to 20,000 a day. The government is coming under criticism for the changes they made which have contributed to these numbers, and for lagging on getting new, more up to date, vaccines into better combat Omicron variants.
