Absolute Beginners

This week I've visited a movie that doesn't often see the light of day - Absolute Beginners. Featuring a cast as diverse as David Bowie, Patsy Kensit, Robbie Coltrane, Smiley Culture and Lionel Blair, the film explores 1950s Soho and the race riots of Notting Hill and White City. Making a guest appearance is Tim Worthington, writer and podcaster behind the nostalgia goldmine at "Looks Unfamiliar". Good timing, as The Young Ones first aired on BBC TV 35 years ago this month.
