Pithru Sooktham

AstroVed’s Astrology Podcast - A podcast by AstroVed

Pitru Suktam is a famous hymn from the Rig Veda to pacify the Pitrus or ancestors. The first eight Slokas welcome the Pitrus, pay respects to them, and invite them to accept the offerings from the descendants.  After listening to the hymn, the Pitrus supposedly bless the entire family. The last 6 Slokas request Lord Agni to bring the Pitras for accepting the respect and offerings, as Lord Agni is believed to transfer all the Naivedyam to the Pitrus and pacify them. By chanting this Suktam, one can get blessings from Lord Agni and the Pitrus.   If you would like to find out more about your chart or have a question about astrology you would love the answer to, please do connect with us at www.astroved.com Follow AstroVed on IG, Twitter, and FB @AstroVed
