This elephant-headed god, who is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is a very popular Hindu deity. He is also the leader of the Ganas. Gana means ‘group,’ and ‘Adhyaksh’ denotes ‘leader of a group’. This Mantra can be chanted for the well-being of a state or city.
