Ane Færøvig (also well known under her Instagram name @popuplens) is a Norwegian outdoor enthusiast and mountaineer. Her story is so unique because, in contrast to many experienced mountaineers, who pile decades of experiences, she started out at zero just recently. Her big dreams lead her to pain, fear, misery, joy, failure, and ultimately success and unprecedented passion. Six months after deciding that she will climb the highest mountains of the world, after intense training and commitment, she joined Nirmal Purja (known as Nimsdai) and stood on top of the second highest and arguably the most dangerous and notorious mountain in the world - K2. She is our guest today and tells us what it is like to be in the death zone, how she was able to achieve this extreme goal, from pretty much zero experience and how mountains help her become a better person.
