EPISODE 51: RICH WILSON

A RICH COMIC LIFE PODCAST - A podcast by Richard Gill - Saturdays

Categories:

In this episode, I talk to one of my favourite comedians, RICH WILSON about his comedy career. Whilst working as a barman at Up The Creek Comedy Club in South East London, Wilson was inspired by the comedy acts he saw on stage and decided to try stand-up in 2004.  Since then, he has never looked back gaining a reputation as one of Britain’s best comedians.  He quickly became a regular on the comedy circuit and headlines many major comedy clubs often reducing me to hysterics when I watch him live.  In 2019, Wilson launched his incredibly successful podcast Insane In The Men Brain where he chats to fellow comedians.  I have watched him perform many times, from his own acclaimed solo show, Death Becomes Him at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019, to headlining shows for fellow comedian and promoter Vix Leyton, and playing major comedy clubs such as Up The Creek and Always Be Comedy in 2020.  He can also be heard weekly on the digital station Islington Radio presenting his show The Tuned Up Time Machine. Thank you so much for listening to my podcast, if you like what you hear, please subscribe and I hope you enjoy the interview.
