The Kid With A Bike with Francis Lee

90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest - A podcast by 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest - Fridays

Sam Clements is curating a fictional film festival. He'll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast. In episode 60 Sam is joined by the writer and director of God's Own Country and Ammonite, Francis Lee. Francis has chosen The Kid With A Bike (87 mins) by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Released in 2011, the film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes film festival, and stars Thomas Doret and Cécile de France. Sam and Francis discuss making his new film Ammonite, how much the Dardenne's film style has influenced his own, and how Francis would love to make an under 90 minute film one day.  Francis's new film Ammonite stars Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan. It is available to rent now on digital platforms including Amazon and iTunes.  Thank you for downloading. We'll be back in a couple of weeks!
