Luca Perasi joins us again to review and discuss his new book: Paul McCartney" Music Is Ideas The Stories Behind The Songs, 1970-1989. This is Luca's second book on Paul. He previously published the Paul McCartney Recording Sessions (1969-2013) book in 2014. This is a new approach and deeper dive into the actual songs and how they came about, when they were written, influences as well as incorporating a lot of research and information from Luca's first book. These works will be the definitive word on all things Macca. And to think, at 600 some odd pages it only goes up until 1989! We ask Luca why a second book, how his approaches were different this time around. We discuss a few of our favorite tracks an entries in the book. We thank Luca very much for some time spent with us and are really excited for him about his second book.
