National says it will review its policy to lure international tech talent to New Zealand after a year to see if it's working. If elected, would introduce a three-year visa targeting the world's top graduates and a separate visa to give residency to those at the top of the field. Immigration spokesperson Erica Stanford says they wanted to think outside the square. She says New Zealand really struggles to attract top talent.
